Day 1 Beijing-Qinhuangdao

Day 2 Qinhuangdao

After breakfast, drive you to the Laolongtou(Old Dragon's Head). Laolongtou is located in the Bohai Sea, 4 kilometers south of Shanhaiguan City. It is the east entrance of the great wall of the Ming Dynasty. The most famous building is Chenghai tower. The reason why we call this "old dragon head" is that people compare the Great Wall to a giant dragon. The old dragon head is an important part of the Great Wall. It forms a horn with the great wall of Jiaoshan in the north of the city and Weiyuan in the east of the city, guarding the Shanhaiguan city. Historically, many emperors have visited here.

Keep going to visit the Shanhaiguan Great Wall, known as "the first pass of the Great Wall". Spanning 26 km in total length, Shanhaiguan is renowned for its seven castles: Guancheng, Dongluo, Xiluo, Nanyi, Beiyi, Weiyuan, and Ninghai. The walls encompass an impressive 4,769 meters, standing at 11.6 meters high and over 10 meters thick, showcasing their towering, sturdy, and magnificent structure. After lunch, pay a visit to the Meng jiangnu Temple, The construction of Meng Jiangnu temple is the product of the folk story "Meng Jiangnu cries for the Great Wall", in memory of Meng Jiangnu. There is a legend saying goes: Meng Jiangnu's husband was arrested by the government to build the great wall and never came back. There after, Meng Jiangnu took ten years to find her husband, and finally she got her husband's tomb here, she cried for ten days and ten nights under the Great Wall. Later generations praised her chastity and loyalty to her husband. There is the famous "Watchman Stone" in the temple.

Day 3 Qinhuangdao-Beijing

In the morning, we will drive to the Beidaihe Qin Dynasty Palace Site, also known as the "Jinshanzi Ancient City Site." This historical site spans approximately 60,000 square meters and holds significance as one of the Imperial Palace sites of the Qin Dynasty. Discovered during excavations in 1985, the site yielded a wealth of cultural relics, leading to its official designation as a national key cultural relics protection unit in 1996.
