D1 Beijing Arrival

Make your own arrival arrangement to get to Beijing. Pick up service can be arranged at Beijing train station or Beijing airport, you will find a welcome sign "Beijing Private Tour".

Transfer to Beijing downtown hotel for checking in, the rest day is free on your own to explore Beijing city or take rest in your hotel.

D2 Beijing

After breakfast, start to explore the historical face of Beijing with a visit to Tiananmen Square which is now the largest city plaza in the world. Tiananmen Square is the geographical center of Beijing City. It is the largest city square in the world, occupying an area of 440,000 square meters, and able to accommodate 1,000,000 people at one time. Lots of important events are held in the Tiananmen Sqaure.

After sightseeing, our guide will take you to visit the Forbidden City, also named the Palace Museum, shares the honor of being one of five world-famous palaces with the Palace of Versailles in France, Buckingham Palace in England, the White House in the U.S. and the Kremlin in Russia. A high red wall with a total length of 3,400 meters (3,718 yards) encases the palace. The palace, the most magnificent and splendid palace complex in China, was listed as a World Cultural Heritage Building in 1987.

After lunch, drive you to visit the another imperial site - Temple of Heaven. The temple was constructed in 1420 during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), and was enlarged during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). It is the grandest cult architecture complex in the world and a masterpiece of the Chinese people created in ancient times. Emperors of the two dynasties used to worship the heaven and pray for rich harvests, as the feudal emperors thought they were the son of the heaven.

After the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel in Beijing.

D3 Beijing

After breakfast, continue your Beijing sightseeing tour to Mutianyu Great Wall. It takes around 1.5 hours from Beijing downtown. There is an old chinese saying "If you haven't climbed the Great Wall, you haven't seen China."  It is indeed an experience of life. As one of the best-preserved parts of the Great Wall, Mutianyu section of Great Wall used to serve as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs. It's known for its beautiful surroundings - dense woods and rich pastures changing colors with the seasons of a year.

In the afternoon, drive you back to Beijing city to visit Summer Palace, it is an imperial garden in Beijing. It is one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites and reported that the Summer Palace is "a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design”. It harmonizes plants and paths, water and land, architecture and horticulture, epitomizing the philosophy and practice of Chinese garden design.

After the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel in Beijing.

D4 Beijing

After breakfast, starts your day tour to visit the Beihai Park, located in the center of Beijing has an area of more than 70 hectares (170 acres) with a water surface of 39 hectares (96 acres). You can visit the park to appreciate ancient Chinese temples, palaces, and other historic structures. Also, you can learn about this former imperial garden.

Next, our guide will take you to the Hutong area to explore the traditional Rickshaw Ride along the narrow hutong alley. The rickshaw can take you on a tour around part of the lake and the nearby hutongs. Rickshaws were once a common mode of transport in Beijing, before cars and buses were widely used, especially in the old narrow streets. Now, the rickshaw tour is one of the most popular tourist activities in Beijing.

Later, we special arrange a visit to the local resident house, where you can experience the real life of old Beijing city. Our guide will explain the design and culture of the buildings, you can chat with local people to know how they daily live here, what to eat... Besides, you will have a home-cooked lunch at local family restaurant.

After lunch, head to visit the Lama Temple, the temple is a well-known monastery of Tibetan Buddhism in Beijing. The incense often burns brightly. There are also many precious cultural relics in Lama Temple, such as the 500 Arhat Mountain carved out of  sandalwood, the giant Buddha niche carved out of silkwood, and the 18-meter-high Buddha carved out of white sandalwood.

After the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel in Beijing.

D5 Beijing Departure
